Beach Wave XIV, an 18x36 unframed original acrylic on 1.5'" gallery wrapped canvas by contemporary realistic artist Cheri Clearwater. Triple waves are stacked and coming in to shore. Deep dark viridian and Prussian blue blend with turquoise blues on the back wave that has power and force trying to overtake the middle wave. It rises, claiming ground between the back and front waves. The frontal action of crashing, churning, and bubbling whitewater forms a tunnel, and soft blues and greens illuminate light through the form. Subtle violets and grays build shapes from compressing water and explosions that splash outward. The beach is dark violet, as if under a cloud. Power, shape, color, and movement!
